St. Michael Mobile Learning Lab

From Ms. Brown:
St. Lawrence College is providing St. Michael with an opportunity for students to participate in
a hybrid learning experience involving Virtual Reality, simulators, and “real-life” welding, electrical, and construction activities through the use of a mobile lab the week of October 3rd to 7th.  This experiential learning opportunity will take place at the school either in the mobile lab or in another tented area on school property.  The Guidance Department is looking for students in grades 9 and 10 interested in the skilled trades as a career, especially the welding, construction, and electrical sectors.  All interested students are invited to come to the Guidance office to pick up a permission form, which must be signed and returned before a student can be given a spot.  If there is more interest than available spots, students will be chosen through a lottery and a waitlist will be established in case any student is absent for their assigned timeslot.  This is an amazing chance to gain exposure to the skilled trades and learn from professionals without even having to leave campus.  Please be sure to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity!
